'Escimo' rose Reviews & Comments

Such a shame this has not yet been corrected. I grow Escimo rose bush purchased threw Northland Rosarium back when they carried it. It is indeed a lovely single white flower. Has shinny leaves any very disease resistant here in northern Illinois. In our worst winters there is little to no cane left. Yet she grows to around a 4 foot height with a 10 to 12 foot spread. Continuous bloom if dead headed difficult to do with so many flowers. Blooms in flushes without removing spent flowers. Shall post a picture here this upcoming season so that people can see both roses.

There's no need for correction. This is the entry for the Escimo floribunda (KORcilmo). The Escimo shrub (exhibition name: Silver Ghost) with the single blooms is KORmifari. They are two different roses.

This description is of Eskimo. Escimo is a single rose, and different than Eskimo. There seems to be some confusion. http://www.kordes-rosen.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=escimo

The description, which I did not write, lists Eskimo and Escimo, along with the registered name KORcilmo.

Yes, the HMF description is the same for both, but that is apparently an error. They are two different roses, and I received Escimo the single rose when I thought I had ordered Eskimo the florist's rose. I don't know where this error originated, but there are definitely two different roses, and the Kordes website shows Escimo, the single rose. Escimo is KORmifari.
