Bred by Joseph Pernet-Ducher (France, before 1923).
Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1923 as 'Amélie de Bethune'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1925 as 'Amélie de Bethune'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Coral-red, yellow undertones, darker reverse, carmine-red shading, ages to rose-pink .  Moderate fragrance.  Medium to large, double (17-25 petals), globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Upright, well-branched.  Bronze-green foliage.  

Height: up to 30" (up to 75cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
