Introduced in United States by Heirloom Roses, Inc. (USA) in 2000 as 'Peter Beales'.

Bloom:
Crimson, golden-yellow center.  Strong fragrance.  5 to 8 petals.  Average diameter 3".  Medium, single (4-8 petals), flat bloom form.  Prolific, blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Medium, rounded.  Dark green, dense foliage.  

Height: 4' (120cm).  Width: 42" (105cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5b through 10b.  Can be used for garden or shrub.

Notes:
The Peter Beales rose is a red and yellow-centered shrub which should be available from Heirloom Old Garden Roses later in 2000. It is named to honor the world's expert on old roses. Beales was born 22 July 1936 and started growing roses when he was sixteen.
