This is actually two bushes planted a few feet apart. The canes are probably 6-8 foot tall but the longer canes in the middle that stretch up and haven't arched over yet are closer to 10 foot long. I think this might make a nice climber, the canes are flexible and nearly thornless (thorns are only at the base of the canes).
This photo is of the "mother" plant that I first found (it isn't the one that I grow on my own property but rather posted to be a mature plant photo).

I gave this rose a study name of "Claire" and in my mind think of it as both "Claire" and 'Maheca'. "Claire" is the name of the mother of the first person to give me a cutting of this rose. This photo is not of the plant I have on my property either (like the full shrub photo) but rather posted for a more mature plant photo.
Mine is very hardy in zone 4, no real fragrance, no hips, once blooming. It starts with crimson-purple buds that open to semi double blooms that are a greyish lilac tint often with the white streak visible in the photo. This photo doesn't show the "nodding" that the full bush photo does.
