Light pink, ages to white .  Moderate fragrance.  Very large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Climbing.

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.

Notes:
Thomas Gainsborough, English Neoclassical painter, famous for 'Blue Boy was born 14 May 1727. He died in 1788.
