Ross Heathcote, Taylors Lakes, Victoria. Red Miniature Roses.
Galaxy  (1980, Moore). Of similar colour to 'Altissimo' - an intense bright red which opens out to 4cms coming on a compact bush of up to 20cms. It makes a great splash in the garden, one of the very best reds.

Page 20: 'Galaxy' is a good choice for a low-growing hedge
Page 55: [Photo] Galaxy there are two types of rose with this name, both from Ralph Moore, but one was developed from a rogue cutting and does not have the same glow or velvet red of the real thing...

Roy and Heather Rumsey, NSW.  New Roses.
Galaxy Miniature (Moore). Deep velvet-red shining colour which is good from the lovely bud to the fully open bloom. About 20 or more petals with beautiful sepals surrounding the flower. Comes in clusters as well as solitary, It is a fact that we do not have so many good red minis, and this one is most likely the best since 'Beauty Secret'. Very good keeper.
