We pictured this rose in a Rosarium at Budapest. The name identification tag told that it is called 'Martini' - and indeed, according to Modern Roses XI, there are both names exist (Martini and Red Martini), both from 1967 and both were created by Delforge.
Is it possible that 'Martini' is a synonym of 'Red Martini'?
Best wishes from Peter and Celeste

This is probable. The Modern Roses listing for 'Martini' seems to be based on the catalogue of the Carla Fineschi rosarium in Cavriglia, while 'Red Martini' has a full description as a registered rose. We have added as a synonym to document this possibility. Clarity can be had when someone posts photos of the rose in Cavriglia.

Martini present in Cavriglia is red as shown in a photo of Theatrum rosarum (I added the description in References).

There are some differences between the description in the "Theatrum rosarum" and the MR: medium vs. large-sized bloom, strong vs. mild fragrance, but the photo shows the same rose as 'Red Martini'.

Jedmar........

I noticed that the latest photo does not have the same form as the roses posted as 'Red Martini' by Emilka. Her photos seem to have more of a high-center with petals that reflex back. Of course, I have never seen the rose, so I would not have a clue as to whether or not her photos are more correct than the latest photo posted to the rose page.

Smiles,
Lyn
