'Glory of Edsell'. Syn 'Glory of Edzell'. Old. Scots. Light pink. This rose is one of the first roses to bloom in spring. It offers clear pink, single blooms with white centers that open flat and display large, attractive stamens. It is a 6 ft (1.8m) tall shrub that does well in the shade. Small, dense, ferny foliage covers the upright, spiny canes; its growth habit makes it a good plant either for the woodland garden or as a hedge. Like other Scots it blooms only in spring. Zones 5-9. Pre 1900. Parentage unknown.
