Dr. A. S. Thomas. Some New Ones. Danielle Robyn. H.T. (W. G. Hastie). ‘Grand Gala’ x ‘Western Sun’. Australian raised. A bicolour of deep red and gold which I prefer to ‘Kronenbourg’, especially in that it retains its colour as it ages instead of turning to an ugly dull purple on the inside aspect of the petals. Well formed and a good grower.
Book  (1976)  Page(s) 140.

Dr. A. S. Thomas, Victoria.  Vintage New Cultivars.
Danielle Robyn HT. (Hastie, not released), ('Grand Gala' x 'Western Sun'). Huge blooms with about 35 petals. Colour resembles that of 'Kronenberg' but it ages more gracefully. Deep red with a suggestion of both purple and bronze on the inner face of each petal and deep cream colour on the outer face. Very vigorous. Large foliage.
Book  (1972)  Page(s) 148.
