Per 'Characterization and Genetic Relationships of Wild Species and Old Garden Roses Based on Microsatellite Analysis' (Scariot, Akkak and Botta, J. Amer. Soc. Hort. Sci. 131(1):66-73, 2006), R. x centifolia 'Rubra' was found to be genetically indistinguishable from Crested Moss, suggesting that either the latter is a sport of this rose, or both are sports of a single parent.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The classification should be "centifolia" according to MR 11. I have corrected the listing in the HMF database.

With Regards,

There seems to be some confusion about whether it repeats its bloom or not. Is there anybody who grows this rose and can tell me more about it?

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Rejean

many thanks.

In the end there seem to be two varieties of this rose.

Kind regards
