'Seduction' rose Reviews & Comments
-
-
I was in a Los Angeles nursery yesterday (Sego) and came across a rose in their stock that said on the tag "Seduction (formerly Guy De Maupassant)." The same thing is written on this internet listing for a rose sold by Yamagami's nursery in the bay area. See, http://www.yamagamisnursery.com/rose-gallery/floribunda-roses/seduction.php
Does anyone know anything about this name change?

It gets more confusing. Regan Nursery sells this rose under the Romantica group of roses. The picture is of a medium pink cupped rose, that was bred by Alan Meiland. The description is for a white rose edged in pink. On HMF, under the name Seduction you will find a white rose edged in pink bred by Meiland International. As well as a medium pink cupped rose. It appears that Regan Nursery does not know which floribunda rose, named Seduction, from Meiland, that they are selling. So they used a photo from one, and a description from both. I really like the Romantica one and will call Regan Nursery to make sure that is the one I am getting. It's crazy confusing.

I live in zone 5 southeastern VT. Can I anyone tell me about how wide I could expect this rose to get? Thank you so much.

If anyone has experience with this rose, please let me know how large this rose grows? Does the color bleed to white in the summer? I'm in zone 9b. Thanks

This rose is sold in Australia under the rather ambiguous name 'La Rose' in the Romantica range produced by Meilland.
I would not regard the fragrance as strong. It is mild and does smell of apples, as stated. The blooms are heavy and can easily reach or exceed 4". Disease resistance is excellent for both black spot and mildew.
