I've wondered on several occasions if the unknown portion of the parentage is either 'Dolly' or the seed parent of 'Dolly'. I have many descendents of 'H.C' Anderson' in my program, and there are many that often have foliage traits of either 'Queen Elizabeth', 'Nordia' of both.

I used to grow this giant beast of a rose a long time ago. Great color. Great vigor. Long spans between rebloom, but the bloom displays were massive. It has a really bad tendency to end up with torn foliage. The leaves were so heavy, that they would rip under their own weight. Otherwise, a very healthy rose. The sprays were often over 2+ ft. in diameter.

Very long lasting, rain resistant flowers. Also the flowers don't seem to attract the japanese beetles.
