'Christian Lacroix ®' rose Reviews & Comments
-
-
This rose is sold in South Africa as SOS Children's Rose. The two listings on HMF should be combined. The 2015/2016 Ludwigs printed catalog shows the name to be DELorbro, which appears to be a misprint of DELorboro. I grow this rose under the Ludwigs name, and it is identical to the photos of Christian Lacroix posted here. Great Rose!

Truffaut's website misprinted 'Christian Lacroix' as DELobora but said it had been bred in 1997. That would fit in with it being introduced in South Africa in 2001 as 'SOS Children's Rose', DELorbro. We'll combine the files. Thanks Kathy.

I merged the files straight after doing my comment. Please let us know if you find evidence of them being different roses.

Are you specifically looking for "sports" or are you looking for roses where 'Amber Queen' was listed in the parentage of a rose ?
You can use the ADVANCED SEARCH feature on HMF to look for your white floribunda. We have several listed which appear to meet your criteria. Click on the ROSE SEARCH button on the navigation bar, then on the ADVANCED SEARCH tab. If you need more information on how to use this feature click on the HELP button.
Smiles, Lyn

This is a stunningly joyful rose of many colours...a really great performer, always covered in blooms. So far it's stood up to both a horribly wet summer, causing so many blooms to be just plecchh, & the beating heat of the driveway paving beside which it's planted when it has been hot & sunny at this altitude. It would certainly be suitable for either B.C. or much hotter areas. Nothing seems to faze it...not even the big borehole drilling rig which just ran over half of it this week....up it popped, buds & all, with only a few bruised leaves to show.
