Bred by Douglas (D.W.) Coolidge (United States, 1925).

Hybrid Multiflora, Rambler, Understock.  
Bloom:
Lilac - pink, ages to fuchsia / magenta . [Mauve or purple blend.]  Mild fragrance.  Small, double (17-25 petals), full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered, globular bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  Small buds.  
Habit:
Climbing, few or no prickles/thorns.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Very vigorous.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Formerly extensively used as tree rose whips. Use abandoned due to excessive sunburn damage.
