According to several references this is a sport of Bougere rather than a seedling.
Also a sport according to Journal des Roses dated 1902/07/01.

Thanks Jocelen. I've added Brent's 2001 reference, but it would be good to have that 1902 reference as well. In the meantime, we've Noted it on the main page.
