Introduced in United Kingdom by Samuel McGredy and Son, Nurserymen (Northern Ireland) in 1962 as 'Isabel de Ortiz'.
Introduced by Unknown (Australia) in 1963 as 'Isabel de Ortiz'.
Introduced in France by NIRP International in 1964 as 'Isabel de Ortiz'.
Introduced in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. (Newark, NY) in 1965 as 'Isabel de Ortiz'.

Hybrid Tea.  

Rose-pink, silver(y) reverse.  Moderate fragrance.  38 to 40 petals.  Average diameter 5".  Very large, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Pointed buds.  

Upright.  Glossy, dark green, leathery foliage.  

Height: 42" (105cm).  

USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
