How tall can this rose grow (assuming good soil, watering, etc.) I am in Zone 6, sunny location. Thanks, Cynthia

Hi, Cynthia. Did you get Spice so Nice? If so, hot tall did it grow? I'm looking for a pillar rose, not something that grows10-12-15 feet. Thanks

Hi, Thanks for asking! I did plant it late in the summer so it hasn't grown much (a couple of feet) but now, in early spring (zone 6) it is already putting out happy-looking shiny dark green leaves, so I'm optimistic. I can tell you more about it's growth in a few months but expect it may take a couple of years to reach it's peak height. Good luck and happy gardening! Cynthia

This is an outstanding rose. It puts on an amazing performance in the spring and then continues to flower for the rest of the season. What I have especially noticed this year is that while aphids are a big problem in our area this year (roses that were always aphid resistant got them too this year), Spice so Nice had no problems and no black spot either!

Information from the tag: "Only for mild climbates Not hardy." (though it "seems to do just fine in my Zone 6b climate in Salt Lake City) "Bloom/size: Medium-large, ruffled, in clusters" "Petal Count: About 30" "Fragrance: Strong spice flowers/ fragrant juniper on the buds" Color: "Apricot-orange reversed & 'eyed' with yellow." Other tag info: "Double your pleasure in several ways. There's two flower colors of warm apricot-orange jazzed up yellow... two foliage colors of deep glossy green with bright mahogany new growth... and double fragrance, too! How's it twice the smell? Because the flowers reek of spicy sweet but the green buds bear the scent of fragrant juniper (with just a little rubbing). Huge clusters give a great show on old and new wood." Bob Bauer

I have 2 Spice So Nice and both seem to growing like ramblers. They took off from the moment I planted them. The flower is gorgeous and very spicy smelling. The bush itself is beautiful and I have had no BS or pest problem. With the heat and humidity here, it seems to be doing great. (knock on wood)
