I grow the Rambler La Mortola in Switzerland at an altitude of 500 meters for about 6 years. The rose climbes on the south wall of our house. It is very large now and I have to cut it down. The first years I protected it against the cold winters with pine tree twigs at the bottom. Untill now the rose survived wery wel. I do not cut the Flowers back because of the beautyfull orange red fruit.
