As of late August ms Vapelle has brought forward one flower to show her reflowering potential, which is acceptable for a first year`s plant of this kind. Many shrub roses like this, old and new, usually need a few years to build up a good flowering and reflowering potential. So if you are disappointed at a rose plant you had expected more of, just be patient and give it a year or two and it will usually come around eventually. In the humid summer of this year, ms Vapelle has so far shown no sign of any disease, which is also a highly appreciated quality.
