'Lichterloh' rose Description

Medium red Hybrid Musk. Registration name: Lichterloh Exhibition name: Lichterloh
Bloom:
Red. Mild fragrance. Semi-double (9-16 petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Ovoid buds.
Habit:
Medium, upright. Glossy, dark green foliage.
Height: 3' (90cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer. Can be used for beds and borders, container rose or garden. Vigorous. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.

Notes:
According to the 1959 American Rose Annual,' Lichterloh' was registered as a Hybrid Musk. Subsequently, the class was changed to Floribunda. In 2007, the ARS reclassified 'Lichterloh' back to Hybrid Musk from Floribunda.
