Origin:

Bred by George L. Thomson (Australia, 2004).
Introduced in Australia by Ross Roses in 2004 as 'St. Francis Xavier'.

Class:

Tea.

Bloom:

Dark red. Strong fragrance. 41 petals. Average diameter 4". Large, very full (41+ petals), in small clusters bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Habit:

Medium, bushy. Medium, glossy, dark green foliage.

Height: 3' to 4' (90 to 120cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for garden, landscape, shrub or specimen. Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom. Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood.. Prune lightly or not at all. Resist the urge to prune this rose too heavily -- it doesn't like it!.
