I would say that the descriptions are: rose cuivré (coppery pink) with occasionally a dark red centre. The rose pictured by Amiroses and gartenjockel is light yellow, pink shaded outer petals and sometimes a coppery pink centre. There are roses of the Marie van Houtte type which are more similar to this.
at least one of dickerson's sources (conard&jones, 1904) tells it "rosy flesh, passing to creamy pink". ketten frères in their catalogue of 1893/94 described it "rose saumoné, à centre PARFOIS(sometimes) rouge foncé". 'helvetia', another one of ducher's breedings (1874), is painted of similar coloration "à centre rose pêche". it has been in the collection at l'hay in 1902. jäger points out the likeness of the latter to 'louis richard'. who did before him? has there occured a permutation and subsequent substitution?
