I have had this climber at least 5 years now. I think the Central Valley climate is to dry and hot for it to thrive. I am lucky to get a few bloom clusters, but either the scarabs get them, just don’t open fully, or the buds drop off before opening. This is the first year it bloomed later then normal and I was so happy to get a chance to enjoy this lovely rose. I think all the rain we received this winter/spring really helped. Healthy cans and leaves.
