I am 90% sure this descends from Trumpeter in some way, shape, or form. Watching this rose, as well as definite Trumpeter descendents/Trumpeter itself in the garden this Fall, as they go dormant, and I am noticing a lot of parallels in traits.

Edit: Forgot about this post. Anyway, its the same size it was in 2017. It never grows. Its always just small. Like, REALLY small. Its already leafed out for the spring, and it has BS. I don't know what to say. I cant compare it to another rose, because there isn't much to work with. It might be climate. Definitely not soil. It could be that it just needs to be grafted, but no thanks. I could think of many other red floris that don't need any special treatment.

Hello,

I just moved into my new house and it came with a pair of tree roses that are now beautifully in bloom. People keep asking me what variety it is and I have no idea, and neither does the previous owner. Can someone help me please?

Thank you.

Try using this website and typing in the name "Playboy." It's a floribunda by Cocker, and it does resemble your photos. However, the long-focus photo looks very red without the blending. The close-ups do look like "Playboy." You may also wish to contact the American Rose Society in Virginia for a list of the rosarians in your area. They should be able to identify your rose. One rosarian recommended that I take a flower to an ARS rose competition, and that plenty of people there would be helpful.

Sorry, but that rose isn't Playboy. Playboy is yellow with orange petal edges, fading to cream with pink petal edges.

Heirloom Roses was selling Red Abundance under the name 'Songs of Praise' in the past, but this year they're calling it 'Velvet Abundance.'

Thank you. They list all of the synonyms that have or are being used for this rose. I have changed the BUY FROM tab to indicate the marketing name they are using for 'Harkimono', which they also list.

Smiles,
Lyn
