R. turkestanica Rgl. - according to Juseptschul little known critical form; could be a mixture of R. kokanica X R. platyacantha. Is not mentioned in the Flora of all [Soviet] Republics. According to Kotschkarewa R. kokanica Rgl., according to Rehder R. platyacantha var. kokanica Rgl.

4° Rosa turkestanica Regel (1877). — Cette espèce habite les environs de Bugun, dans le Turkestan. Il n'est pas bien sûr que sa corolle soit jaune, car l'auteur qui l'a décrite sur des échantillons desséchés dit: "Petalis ut videtur luteis."

Fruticulus ut videtur humilis, habitu R. pimpinellifoliae. Rami ramulique aculeis difformibus rectis sparsis, majoribus validis basin versus complan ato-dilatatis, minoribus setaceis, setisque brevibus glanduliferis vestiti. Petioli rhachesque puberula glandulisque bruiter stipitatis adspersa, inermia v. aculeolis brevibus raris. Stipulae angustae, dilatatae, auriculatae, margine glandulosae. Foliola parva, saepissime 5, subrotunda, obtusa, simpliciter v. subduplicato-dentata, dentibus saepe glandula parva terminatis. Pedunculi calycisque tubus subgiobosus setis brevibus glanduliferis vestiti. Calycis laciniae integrae, in acumen apice saepe dilatatum excurrentes, petalis (ut videtur luteis) breviores, dorso setuloso-glandulosae. Styli in columnam exsertam conoideam lanatam coaliti.
