Mme Jean Gaujard would be a really great rose if it did not die back or have as many thorns.  It is a very beautiful flower of colours that vary greatly with weather conditions.   The darker outer side of the petals are paler when the flowers are large. They are then a  soft apricot but in smaller blooms they are bright orange. The inner surface varies proportionately from deep cream to gold. This is a wonderful show rose...

Madame Jean Gaujard (Pernetiana) has long pointed buds developing into shapely high-centred double flowers of golden-yellow shading to orange at the centre, borne singly upon long strong stems from vigorous plants with good glossy green disease-resistant foliage.
