Bred by Tim Hermann Kordes (Germany, 1995).
Introduced in Germany by W. Kordes' Söhne (Retail) in 2005 as 'Sterntaler'.
Introduced in Canada by Palatine Roses in 2007 as 'Golden Fairy Tale'.
Introduced in United States by Ashdown Roses Historic Archive in 2007 as 'Sterntaler'.
Introduced in New Zealand by South Pacific Roses Ltd. in 2018 as 'Storyteller'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Shrub.  
Bloom:
Lemon-yellow.  Medium yellow partly edged red.  None to mild fragrance.  up to 40 petals.  Average diameter 2.5".  Medium, full (26-40 petals), in small clusters, cupped, old-fashioned bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed, ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Medium, bushy, upright, well-branched.  Medium, glossy, medium green, leathery foliage.  5 leaflets.  

Height: 35" to 47" (90 to 120cm).  Width: 2' to 28" (60 to 70cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5b and warmer.  Can be used for cut flower, exhibition or garden.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant, very blackspot resistant., mildew resistant.  Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.

The new variety of rose plant of the present invention originated from a controlled crossing during the summer of 1995 between an un-named seedling and `KORruge`, a non-patented rose.
