Bloom:
Carmine-red. Red filaments. Moderate fragrance. Large, semi-double (9-16 petals), in small clusters bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Fragrant foliage. 7 leaflets.
Height: 5' to 15' (150 to 455cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 7b through 10b. Can be used for garden or understock. Can be trained as a climber.

Notes:
“Mary Frith’s Red Climber” From an historic garden. The elderly owner has said the rose was planted when she arrived many years ago. It has not grown all that well in my (Patricia Routley's) Northcliffe garden as it became shaded out. It was moved in 2016 and again in 2024 where at last it has shown its true colours.
