Typical color of the leaves on Wild Edric, grafted on multiflfora rootstock, growing in the alkaline soil of my garden and irrigated with alkaline city water. No soil amendments, mulch, or fertilizer added. Wild Edric is growing under the high shade of an approximately 80 foot tall ash tree and does receive normal leaf fall from that tree which are left to accumulate around his root zone.

One of the first flowers on a new plant from Pickering. The flowers seem to glow and shimmer in the sunlight and remind me of the swirls of color in a watercolor painting. Just lovely, but oh-so-hard to capture in a photograph, with every movement changing the colors that appear in the flower. The camera had so much difficulty getting the color right during the day that I took this shot at night. It still doesn't represent all the subtleties well. An enchanting rose.
