'Rosa californica f. nana' rose Reviews & Comments

Based on Kim's comment below, I believe the californica f. nana Ralph Moore likely used for pollen in his cross was the Sierran Ground Rose, syn. Rosa calvaria Greene aka Rosa bridgesii. The Sierran Ground Rose in my photos is Rosa calvaria from Calaveras Big Trees.

Doubtful. Mr. Moore stated he collected what he used up in the Sierras near his cousin's hunting cabin. It was short, so he called it "Nana". Sometimes, things were just that simple.
