It may be of some interest the report by Arthur William Paul, presented in 1906 at the Third International Conference on Genetics, entitled ON THE DERIVATION OF SOME RECENT VARIETIES OF ROSES (see References). The parentage of Lady Gay reported by Paul is “a seedling from Crimson Rambler, other parent not stated”, different from “Wichuraiana and Bardou Job” reported by Mr. Henry Hentz, Jr. in Roses and how to grow them (1906).
