Introduced in Australia by Camden Park in 1850 as 'Mrs. Bosanquet'.

Found Rose, Bourbon, China / Bengale.  

Blush, white edges, silver(y) undertones.  Moderate fragrance.  Medium to large, very full (41+ petals), borne mostly solitary, cupped-to-flat bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Glandular sepals, long sepals buds.  

Upright.  

USDA zone 5b through 10b.

A copy of the rose from the National Plant Collection of Victor Lewis, Braintree, Essex, was planted in Sangerhausen after 2011.
Some confusion of 'Mrs. Bosanquet' with the Bourbon 'Pauline Bonaparte' by Nérard.

Dedicated to Cecilia Franks (April 6, 1789 East Barnet, Hertfordshire - May 16, 1868 Broxbourne, Hertforshire, who in 1831 married George Jacob Bosanquet (1791-1866) in her second marriage.

From Wikipedia: When Jacob died in 1828 his eldest son George inherited the house [Broxbournebury Manor in Hertforshire]. In 1831 he married his cousin Cecilia Franks (1789-1868) She was a keen gardener and her rose garden was often mentioned in publications. One book described Broxbournebury as a “celebrated mansion and remarkable for a unique rose garden”. In 1832 a rose called “Mrs Bosanquet” was named after her.
