While making an inspection of their rose fields last spring, the Julius Roehrs Co., Rutherford, N.J., discovered pure white flowers on a small plant of Tausendschon. This plant was carefully guarded and flowered in the greenhouse this spring, when it was found that the color was fixed, and there is now a sure enough white Tausendschon. The accompanying illustration shows the purity of the flowers. Unfortunately the background is a white tent and offers little contrast to the flowers which are pure white without the slightest tinge of color. This should prove a most valuable acquisition, as in every other respect it is exactly like its pink sister. There is a demand and undoubtedly room for a good, white, climbing rose, as almost its only competitor is the old Baltimore Belle now almost out of cultivation.
