Origin:
Bred by Peter Beales (1936-2013) (United Kingdom, 1979).
Class:
Floribunda.  
Bloom:
Copper - orange, ages to apricot .  Mild, fruity fragrance.  30 petals.  Double (17-25 petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters, high-centered, rosette bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Upright.  Medium, glossy, medium green foliage.  

Height: 30" to 4' (75 to 120cm).  Width: up to 4' (up to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5b through 10b.  Hardy.  vigorous.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .  Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection).

Arena Rose Co.'s Catalog 2000 says Norwich Castle opens as coppery-orange and ages to soft apricot... Some difference of opinion about Parentage, see References for more information.
