p17.  R. Marion Hatton.  The World's New Roses
Numa Fay, by Richards, and introduced in France by Meilland, has been so much like Good News that if they are not the same Rose one doesn't need both. Plants are upright, strong, with profuse foliage and large double flowers of silvery pink, with an apricot flush and an uninteresting scent.

p79.  Dr. A. S. Thomas.  An exhibitor's Opinion
Numa Fay: Wonderful growth and foliage, but until this, its third year, it has always had confused centres. This autumn almost every flower has been perfect. Balls badly in spring. A new colour. 1 am keeping it.
