America rose photo
Rose photo courtesy of Rockhill
F. Komlosy's 'Americaine' in his Rosen-Album of 1868-75 is very like 'America', Page/Ward, 1859. The text accompanying the plate says it belongs to the GROUP ROSA MOSCHATA, that it originated in North America and was grown in France. The parentage of 'America' - Solfatare x Safrano - also fits. Scanned with permission from Bob Edberg's 2011 reproduction.
