Amazing little rose. Grew no more than a foot tall for me and the plant often looked like dozen lipstick pink long stemmed florist blooms had been taken out of a vase and stuck in the earth. Easy to see why hybridizers used this one for the short, neat plant that still provided large(r) blooms. The variety Katherine Loker performs and looks similarly, just a yellow version.

Looking at the list of Paddy McGredy's offspring, I think it is safe to assume the sentence "Does not set hips" can be deleted from the rose's description. It obviously served as the seed parent of quite a few roses.

Yes. Someone was a bit confused about this one to add such a note. I count 12 roses that Sam bred with 'Paddy McGredy' as a seed parent. Thanks for your help.
