'Blanche Pasca' rose Reviews & Comments

Turns out Montreal Botanic Garden have a typo on their (English) page of recommended cultivars, which confused me when I was looking for this rose. They have it listed as 'Pacali', which turned up no search results here.
It was only when I thought that, what with Pascal being a well-known French surname, the rose might actually be 'Pascali', that I found this one.
I've emailed them and alerted them to the typo.

No signs, that this rose didn't like my gardensoil or climate (zone 6a/b). But last winter it died. Temps as low as -20° C. Even though the bud-union was deep under the ground and the rootstock resistant to frosts.

The Montreal Botanical Garden recommends this rose as resistant to blackspot, powdery mildew, and rust:

I assume this means that (probably with protection) this rose is at least somewhat winter hardy in Montreal, far north of zone 7.

In zone 6 at my place no protection needed for both Pascali and Pascali Cl. Just a very little Blackspot towards the end of the season.

In zone 9 (near Houston) this flower is very resistant to blackspot. During summer when thrips weren't sucking the life out of the blooms, the heat really took a toll. Though it does repeat bloom often, they don't look their best due to the smaller size and fewer petals. This bush is very tall (over 5 feet) , very narrow (less than two feet), and leggy. It does seem to be a very vigorous plant and didn't blink an eye after transplant.
