Origin:
Discovered by Unknown (before 1893).
Bloom:
Violet - pink. Single (4-8 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form. Rounded buds.
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, bushy, upright, well-branched. Medium, semi-glossy, medium green, wrinkled (rugose) foliage. 5 to 7 leaflets.
Height: up to 6'7" (up to 200cm).

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
The parentage in Willmott's "Genus Rosa" is R. rugosa x virginiana. Later authors and Sangerhausen have R. rugosa x blanda.
