Perle des Jardins Tea. Levet, France, 1874. Seedling of 'Madame Falcot'... an infuriating rose which is given to balling at the slightest hint of damp or humidity. It was a popular greenhouse rose in its day... In a dry, sunny climate it can be superb... straw yellow... repeat-flowering depends on a dry spell. This rose is at its best in autumn.

Originally the queen of the greenhouse roses, this delightful pale yellow tea rose has survived to the present in the open garden. In my garden, this extremely vigorous rose can hold its own with the pillar roses.
