This, the first true yellow Floribunda, came from Svend Poulsen in 1938, but as its colour faded, and the semi-double flowers were apt to be untidy, it had little chance of resurrection when rose growers resumed their operations after the war, and found a better alternative in Goldilocks' . There are two interesting facts about Poulsen's Yellow': the foliage was dark and glossy to an unusual degree; and it was bred from 'Mrs W. H. Cutbush' x 'Gottfried Keller'. The latter comes from 'Persian Yellow',and its sad story is related in the section Pimpinellifoliae.
