    How does this Princesse de Monaco rose compare to Moonstone as garden roses only? Don't compare them as exhibition type roses where I know Moonstone would hold the edge.
    I really like the color better on PDM rather than Moonstone since it has more pink edging to the flowers petals if what I see in these pictures is correct.

    I don't know Moonstone, John, so I can't compare, I'm afraid. However, I should just like to confirm that the colours on the photos are correct - mine haven't been touched up in any way! Personally I find Princesse de Monaco a bit slow growing, and I don't get as many blooms as I would like. Maybe that comes from its position in my garden, but I see that in the ratings nobody seems to be very complimentary on bloom frequency and quantity ... if that's any good! Nice rose otherwise.

    Performance of a rose will vary by the location of where you are growing roses. For example, some roses thrive in cooler climates and can't take the heat. Others are the opposite. Can you let us know a little bit about where you are located ? You might get a more useful answer to your question.

    In LA, Princess De Monaco is simply stunning and Lynn Anderson is still second fiddle. PDM is very prolific and healthy with dark green shiny leaves. It is not the greatest cut, but is one of the most perfect looking (up close) landscape rose bushes ever. ( No scent)
