Neue, frühblühende Clematis. Als ich vor einigen Tagen die Gärtnerei des Herrn Charles Noble in Sunningdale besuchte, so schreibt ein Correspondent des Garden am 2. Juli a. c., fielen mir einige neue Clematis aus der patens-Gruppe auf, die dort gezüchtet und gerade in den Handel gebracht waren. Es sind:
Daniel Deronda. Blumen malven-violett, roth angehaucht und mit einem schwach weißen Anstrich auf jedem Blumenblatt. Bisweilen sind die Blumen halb gefüllt.

New, early-blooming clematis. When I visited Mr. Charles Noble's nursery in Sunningdale a few days ago, a correspondent for the Garden writes on July 2nd a. c., I noticed some new clematis from the patens group that had been bred there and had just been brought onto the market. They are: 
Daniel Deronda. Flowers mauve-violet, tinged with red and with a faint white tinge on each petal. Sometimes the flowers are semi-double.
