Clematis John Paul II says both to prune in Spring and not to prune. Do you know if this blooms on new wood or old wood? I have seen in other publications that they say it blooms on new wood so you should prune in Spring. I have a Clematis John Paul II that I've had for 3 years and I have yet to see a bloom. Thanks.
