Breeder's notes:
This seedling was given to the San Jose Heritage Rose Garden in 2005 for trial purposes. I had neglected to follow up on this rose until recently. Reports of its superb qualities at the San Jose Heritage garden have encouraged me to allow commercial release of it. It will be a special release through the San Jose Heritage Rose Garden to raise funds for maintenance and expansion of the garden. It is now called 'Mel's Heritage' to honor one of its previous directors who was well known by many that visited the Heritage. Mel's contributions to the Heritage were instrumental in making it the world class collection it is today.

I suspect it is a Diploid.
