Bred by Domenico Aicardi (1878-1964) (Italy, 1937).
Introduced in France by Marcel Robichon in 1938 as 'Gloria di Roma'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1940 as 'Rome Glory'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Scarlet, cerise reverse.  Moderate fragrance.  50 to 60 petals.  Average diameter 4.5".  Large, very full (41+ petals), globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long buds.  
Habit:
Bushy, upright.  Dark green foliage.  

Height: up to 47" (up to 120cm).  Width: up to 2' (up to 60cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
