Light pink to white, lighter center.  Rosy pink.  Moderate fragrance.  5 petals.  Average diameter 1.5".  Small, single (4-8 petals), in large clusters bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Arching, bushy, climbing.  Large, matte foliage.  7 to 9 leaflets.  

Height: 8'2" to 19'8" (250 to 600cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Hardy.  very vigorous.

Discovered in China (1907).

Notes:
R. multiflora var. cathayensis differs from ¨R. multiflora Thunb. by up to 1,5-2 times larger blooms, pink-shaded buds, twice-as large hips, orange vs. red hips, longer pedicels and a broader inflorescence.
Boulenger believes that the variety may be a group of roses including cultivars and hybrids.
