Origin:
Bred by Walter Irwin Johnston (Ireland, before 1946).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Samuel McGredy and Son, Nurserymen (Northern Ireland) in 1946 as 'Rubaiyat'.
Introduced in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. in 1946 as 'Rubaiyat'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1949 as 'Rubaiyat'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Deep pink, lighter reverse.  Strong, damask, lemon, rose fragrance.  25 to 30 petals.  Large, full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters, high-centered, spiral centers bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Tall, upright.  Dense, leathery foliage.  

Height: 42" to 4½' (105 to 135cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for beds and borders, cut flower or garden.  Very vigorous.  heat tolerant.
