David Ruston, South Australia. Roses of Distinction.
An older floribunda, 'Rumba' is still unique in that its nicely formed flowers in good clusters are smaller than most other floribundas, but the well spaced heads are ideal for use among larger varieties in flower arrangement and 'Rumba' lasts as well as any variety I know when picked.

Rumba Florib. (Poulsen, 1960) Large heads of small florets in a very pretty combination of yellow and red. As compared and contrasted with 'Masquerade', the colours are more distinct, the florets are smaller and fuller and they do not suffer from close inspection. The growth is not as tall but the general effect is much better.

Certificate of Merit. Rhumba Fl. (Poulsen). This new dwarf-type Floribunda with its cherry-red rosette blooms looked an all-out Gold Medal candidate at the beginning of the season, but was just a bit behind in our summer drought. Very attractive, however, in all stages, and a favourite with the ladies.
