Attribution of this rose to the mysterious "Bragg" appears to be a typographical error dating back to the 1917 American Rose Annual. The correct attribution is to none other than the breeder of the Tea 'William R. Smith', the hapless Richard Bagg. See Ellwanger (1892 ed., p. 242) as well as vol. 27 (1903) of the Royal Horticulatural Society (p. 479).
